The Hebrew Alpha-Bet is called the Alef Bet. It is made up of 27 letters including 5 letters make the same sound as their parallel but they are only used at the end of a word. These letters are indicated with the purple arrow.
The Hebrew Alfa-bet also has vowels. These are mostly placed below the letter to affect its sound. The Torah its self is written without the vowels. It takes great skill and understanding to read the Torah without the vowels.
